Dhaka University (DU) 2020-21 academic year undergraduate (honors) first year social science faculty ‘D’ unit examination will be held on Saturday (October 23). The test will start from 11 pm. The exam will be held simultaneously at Dhaka University campus and public universities in seven departments of the country. 64 students will fight for one seat in this unit.

Seats and application
A total of 3 lakh 24 thousand 340 people have applied for 6,147 seats in five units of Dhaka University. As such, 45 people will contest for each seat.

1 lakh 17 thousand 958 people applied for 1 thousand 615 seats in ‘A’ unit. 46,732 against 2,038 seats in B unit, 26,364 against 1,250 seats in C unit and 1,15,071 against 1,570 seats in D unit have applied. On the other hand, 15,496 applications have been submitted against 135 seats in the ‘C’ unit As such, 75 candidates will contest for each seat in Unit A, 20 in Unit B, 22 in Unit C, 64 in Unit D and 115 in Unit F.

DU admission test is being held in eight divisional cities

Test date and distribution
This year’s admission test of Dhaka University has started on October 1 with the examination of ‘A’ unit of the Faculty of Science. Then on 2nd October the ‘B’ unit of the Faculty of Arts, on 9th October the ‘C’ unit of the Faculty of Fine Arts (multiple choice), on 22nd October the ‘C’ unit of the Faculty of Business Education were examined. The examination of ‘D’ unit of the Faculty of Social Sciences will be held today. The test will start from 11 pm.

An admission test of 120 marks will be held in each unit of Dhaka University this time. There will be 100 marks in the main examination (multiple choice and written) and a total of 20 marks out of 10 on the results of SSC and HSC examinations. Admission test of ‘A’, ‘B’, ‘C’ and ‘D’ units will have multiple choice of 80 marks and written part of 40 marks. There will be 45 minutes for both parts. However, 30 minutes will be allotted for the multiple choice test of 40 marks and 45 minutes will be allotted for the drawing test of 60 marks. The examinations will be held in the centers of eight divisional cities of the country on the scheduled date from 11 am to 12 noon.
