Applications for the admission of students from 1st to 9th class in government and private schools for the year 2022 will start from 25th November and will continue till 6th December.
The admission rules were released by the Department of Secondary and Higher Education (Maushi) on Tuesday (November 18) at noon.
It has been said that the application fee for school admission is Tk 110, which has to be paid through the state mobile service provider Teletalk.

Due to Corona, admission forms will not be distributed from schools this year like last year. Students seeking admission can only apply online (https://gsa.teletalk.com.bd).

Government schools:
There will be 44 government secondary schools and three branches in Dhaka metropolis. This time two more nationalized schools have been added. In these, the work of admission is done in the central management under Mausi. Once again, the schools will be admitted in three clusters or groups (A, B and C).
At the time of application, a student will be able to give preference order for admission in five schools in a group. From here a school will be selected through lottery.
In addition, applicants across the country will receive a list of police station-based educational institutions at the time of institution selection at the time of application. Candidates will be able to select a maximum of five schools in the order of preference in each application on the basis of availability.
In the case of a double shift organization, if both shifts are chosen, two choices will be considered completed. Schools or shifts of the same order cannot be chosen a second time.
Private schools
In case of private secondary school in Dhaka metropolis, at least one and maximum three administrative thanas adjoining the institution can be designated as catchment area.
In addition, applicants will receive a list of educational institutions in the metropolitan area of the divisional headquarters and in the Sadar upazila of the district headquarters for the metropolitan level during the selection of institutions at the time of application. Candidates will be able to select a maximum of five schools in the order of preference in each application on the basis of availability. In the case of a double shift organization, if both shifts are chosen, two choices will be considered completed. Schools or shifts of the same order cannot be chosen a second time.
Due to the corona epidemic, students from first to ninth grade were admitted through lottery last year. Earlier, only first class students were admitted through lottery. And for the admission of students from 2nd to 8th class, examinations were taken. Admission to the ninth class was based on the results of Junior School Certificate (JSC) and Junior Dakhil Certificate (JDC) examinations.
