In the academic year 2020-21, the Bangladesh Board of Technical Education has issued a notification for admission to 4 years diploma course and 2-year HSC education.

The Agriculture Technology Institutes (ATIs) under the Ministry of Agriculture will be able to join the 4-year Agricultural Diploma Institute this year after passing SSC or equivalent examinations from all education boards, open universities in Bangladesh from 2016 to 2021.

Textile engineering or textile engineering is one of the most sought after subjects in diploma engineering. Dinajpur Textile Institute, Barisal Shaheed Serniabat Textile Engineering College and Tangail Textile Institute are the three government textile institutes under the textile department of the government. There are also 21 private textile institutes. BSc engineering can be studied from institutes by completing diploma courses at Bangladesh Textile Engineering University, Dhaka University of Engineering and Technology (DUET) and various private universities.
Agricultural Engineering
There are a total of 13 agricultural training institutes in Rangpur, Gaibandha, Pabna, Khulna, Barisal, Faridpur, Dhaka, Ghazipur, Sherpur, Sylhet, Noakhali, Chittagong and Rangamati districts under the Board of Technical Education. To complete this diploma course, the candidate should have at least GPA-3 from Science Department in SSC or at least GPA-3 with Grade Point-II in General Mathematics or General Science in case of department other than the Science Department.
For admission, the student must pass the SSC and equivalent examinations with minimum GPA 2.5 or pass the minimum ‘D’ grade in any one subject in ‘O’ level examination, including ‘C’ grade and mathematics.
Admission has to be guaranteed within 48 hours of applying for admission. Otherwise, the application will be deemed void.
The notification said students can apply for admission from the Bangladesh technical education board’s Online Admission System website (http://bteb1.btebadmission.gov.bd/BTEB_WEB/application/applicantRegistration.action and www.btebadmission.gov.bd/).
