On Monday, the Dhaka Education Board issued a notification directing it to fill-up the form. According to the notification, the tentative list of students along with the information of the students will be published on the website of The Dhaka Education Board on June 7. From the next day onwards, students can fill up the HSC form online. The form filling fee can be paid till June 23.
No candidate who has registered before the academic year 2017-2018 will be able to appear for this year’s HSC examination. However, in the academic year 2016-2017, candidates who failed in one subject will be able to renew their registration and take the exam in one subject (excluding the fourth subject).
The registration fee for science stream students with the fourth subject is tk 2,330 and that of business education and humanities is tk 1,770. In the humanities and business branches, if a student has a practical examination in the fourth subject and the technical subject, then he will have to pay an additional 140 tk.

The time to fill up the hsc exam form this year has been extended. This time of filling the form has been extended for two weeks in view of the ongoing flood situation in the country. This information was given in a circular signed by Professor S M Amirul Islam, Controller of Examinations of the Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education on Monday (June 20).
According to the notification, the form can be filled up till July 6. In addition, the form filling fee can be submitted till July 7. This year’s higher secondary examination, which was delayed by four months due to the corona pandemic, was scheduled to start from August 22. However, the government has already postponed ssc exams due to floods in the north-eastern part of the country.
The notification also said that in this situation, there is uncertainty about the start of HSC exams on time. Form filling to appear for the exam began on June 8. Which was supposed to end on June 22.
According to the notification, educational institutions can conduct preparatory examinations for HSC candidates, but it is not mandatory for candidates and additional fees cannot be charged for the same.
The HSC candidates have also been asked not to charge any additional fees beyond these 24 months – from July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2022.
According to the notification, if an institution collects an additional fee, necessary legal action will be taken, including closing the form filling panel of the concerned institution.
The HSC exams are starting from August 22, four-and-a-half months later due to the Corona pandemic. This year’s higher secondary examination will be held according to the restructured curriculum. In HSC, this time the marks will be given through all-subject mapping instead of taking the information and communication technology test.
