National poet Kazi Nazrul Islam University has 272 seats in science, 540 in humanities and 248 seats in commerce branches out of a total of 1,60 seats in 5 units (‘A’ ‘B’ ‘C’ ‘D’ and ‘E’).
The ‘A’ unit has 55 bengali language and literature sections, 50 in English language and literature, 50 in philosophy. The ‘B’ unit has 40 seats in the computer science and engineering department, 40 seats in the electrical and electronic engineering department, 40 seats in the environmental science and engineering department, 40 seats in the statistics department.
