It has been recommended to take the graduate admission test of Jahangirnagar University (JU) for the academic year 2020-21 between November 6-17. The university will complete the admission test within this period. The decision was taken at a recent meeting of the university council regarding the date of the admission test. A final decision in this regard will be taken at the meeting of the Academic Council.
Abu Hassan, the university’s deputy registrar, confirmed the information to The Daily Campus on Saturday (September 4) evening.
He said a recent meeting of the Central Admission Management Committee had recommended that the admission test of Jahangirnagar University be held between November 8 and November 18. The meeting was chaired by the Vice-Chancellor and President of the Central Admission Management Committee, Prof. Farzana Islam.

Abu Hassan said, the rest of the issues related to the JU admission test remain the same. A final decision in this regard will be taken at the meeting of the Academic Council of the University. Then it will be officially announced. The meeting will be held very soon.
Jahangirnagar University (JU) has submitted applications for the admission of the first year of graduation (honors) in the academic year 2020-21 against 1,069 seats of three lakh 7,096 students. As such, 163 admitted candidates will contest for each seat.
Students admitted this year had to fill up forms separately for a total of 9 units. Of these, A Unit (Faculty of Mathematics and Physics) has 8,202 students, B Unit (Faculty of Sociology) has 36,648 students, C Unit (Faculty of Arts and Humanities) has 41,006 students and C1 Unit (Department of Drama and Drama Theory). 10 thousand 26 people.
Besides, D Unit (Faculty of Biology) 79,129, E Unit (Faculty of Business Studies) 16,033, F Unit (Faculty of Law) 24,073, G Unit (Institute of Business Administration) 6,071, H Unit (Institute of Information Technology) 23 thousand 240 students and I Unit (Bangabandhu Comparative Literature and Culture Institute) 6 thousand 610 students have applied.
